The package of files uploaded by AQ Central includes the video in multiple formats, in English, Arabic, and Urdu. In addition there is a .pdf document. The .pdf is in Urdu (I think) and while the file name is “azzam to pakistan november 09″, in the document’s properties we find it referred to as “SH AIMAN TO PAKISTAN RAHE HALAKAT JULY 2009.INP”. Not sure what to make of that – could they not create a new document for this message, did they include an old message from Zawahiri? In any event it adds to the perception that they are screwing up. The statement is in Urdu (I think) – perhaps intended for street distribution.

Very interesting analysis… The same thing – tipping point – is happening with the bombing of al-Shabaab in Somalia. People are getting outraged by the bombing of December 3rd and they blame al-Shabaab… What al-Shabaab is doing ? Just backing up, saying that they are not responsible, that the media are bias and that the governement did plan the attack.
